Anyone eyeing any sweaters??

i don't like the Big Deal, i feel like that collar would annoy me.

not sure i want a hood, i think it will feel heavy on my shoulders and back.

i have 2 long sweaters with buttons, which i like.

i might go for one with a zipper this time around.

how do u feel about the prices??

any favorite style or color???

thoughts on the Vest and Shawl offering this year??

@hkrgrl    I'm liking A351067. But, it's $164.98!   It's a zip front hooded cardigan.  Seems like we never see a hooded one.  However, I tend to like the toggle closures. I wish this one had that, but it's still gorgeous!

Nope. To expensive and I don't live where it gets that cold to wear such a heavy sweater. Plus dry clean only is an automatic turnoff.

I'm admiring a few, but won't be ordering any.  I already own three ponchos, two long cardigans w/asymmetrical zippers, and two pullovers. That's plenty.

I love the Aran sweaters!  I own many of them in different styles and colors.  The zip up ones are my favorites as I find those to be the warmest as the collar helps keep your neck nice and warm.  I have a couple with matching scarves and they are simply beautiful.   I have purchased many from the Q and a couple actually in Ireland.  I do use them for travel instead of a coat as we like to travel in the cool spring or fall.  I just took out my army green one with scarf as I started packing for our adventure to France in a couple weeks!

As far as the pricing, IMO, they are worth every cent.  Nice quality and they last if you take care of them.  Generally you don't even have to have them dry cleaned, just hang outside on a breezy day as merino wool is naturally antibacterial.  If you purchase you won't be sorry!

ETA: Stay true to size as they tend to run generous and loosen a bit when wearing.

I would love to purchase one.  I've had my eye on a few, but don't think I'll be buying.

I bought a zip front cardigan in merino wool years ago---and I did wear it--but needed to be dry cleaned and it pilled so badly--I put it away and then donated it----will pass.

That is the one i am eyeing!!  i just worry about it being heavy on my shoulders.  i think it has a 2 way zipper which i love.

any thoughts on the shawl vs. the vest??  the shawl looks 'classier' but with no button on clasp, i feel that they tend to move around a lot which means i have to fix them... the vest looks very 'structured'.  i am not sure if that's the work but something about it is off putting.

I bought the Big Deal sweater in parsnip. At first, I thought I would hate the collar. I received it yesterday, and I absolutely love it. Since I wanted it, more fitted, I sized down. I have purchased the longer sweaters before, and I didn't like them. They felt very heavy, and more like a coat. I ended up donating it. I'm not one for hoods at all. I just happened to take a chance on the BD and was happily surprised.

I purchased the V-neck button front cardigan in plum, A637302.  The plum color is just so striking and I like that this sweater is a little shorter, not tunic length.

I saw the open front long vest presented this morning and, surprisingly, really liked it on the show host.  It would be beautiful belted.  The item photos don't really do it justice.

I bought one piece of jewelry, the Connemara marble tree of life heart necklace.  I'm going to take the pendant off the chain and put it on a Connemara marble bead necklace that I bought years ago on the Q that has the Trinity symbol on the hinged triangle clasp.
