I get their catalogue all the time and they have some really gorgeous things but I am not sure how their sizing runs.  I am a M in Denim & Co., Isaac and just about everything else.  Do their cardigans run true to size?  I do not know if I should go up to a large or not.  Also, I am a 12 in bottoms.  Love their ankle pants but again, do not know how their sizing runs.  Help!  Thank you.

My experience is that Talbots sizing runs small. I also wear a medium top in D&C but wear a large petite top at Talbots. I have not purchased pants at Talbots have never found a good fit for me.

Re: Anyone Shop at Talbots?

Yes, I love Talbots! Instead of trying to relate Talbots’ sizes to QVC brand sizes, you should take your measurements and check them against the Talbots size charts. They have them in their catalogs as well as on their website. Talbots has 4 size categories: misses, petites, women’s (plus), and women’s petites. In addition to checking the size charts, it’s useful to check customer reviews on their website as their customers are pretty good about reporting if a garment runs true to size, large or small. I find that I need to try their pants and slacks on, unless I’ve already got a similar pair that I know fits. Hope this helps!

I am a big Talbots shopper and have been for years.  Once you find your size there, most things run true to size.  I find I buy a larger size in Talbots than QVC.  For example, in slacks, jeans, capris, etc. I wear a 8P or small in QVC, but a 10P in Talbots.  Same with tops, small in Q, Medium in Talbots.  I am busty so I get a Medium at Talbots, if I wasnt I could do with a small but I dont like things tight in the bust area.  Hope this helps.  Watch for Talbots sales, they have them all the time and make their things more affordable. Go to their website and sign up for emails for all the sale notices.  Happy Shopping!
