The posts on the "Sneak Peek #2" thread have me thinking about color. Many of us seem very certain about what colors will/will not work for us. I'd love to learn more about what makes that so.
I've figured out through trial & error what I think looks best on me. For example, some colors I like, such as steel grey, taupe, and most blues seem to drain the life from my complexion.
Others that I'm not drawn to, such as magenta and fuschia, draw compliments when I wear them - not just on the garments, but on my overall appearance (i.e. You look well rested today...)
I would like to learn more about choosing colors, especially as my skintone and hair color will be changing with age. I'm thinking some colors I've always avoided may eventually be ones that will flatter. And those I've always worn may fail to deliver the way they did when I was tanned and my hair was very dark brown.
Any thoughts, books or resources to recommend?
