I wanted to order the Bearpaws, Emma in the leopard pattern from HSN. Waited too long, my size was gone! Went to Amazon, found the Emma in my size and pattern, price was good! Ordered yesterday, tracked it, due here tomorrow! Free shipping too! Love Amazon! Shipped from Zappos! I see more Bearpaws in my future~

I ordered a pair from HSN. I'm not sure of the name. They had it on the same day of Fashion day at QVC. If I order from HSN on the computer, I don't pay any tax. In this case it was no tax and free shipping. They'll be here today. This will be my first pair of bearpaws. I love Uggs, but I'm looking forward to trying these.

I think you will be pleased! I want to try their slippers too..they're addictive. Hope you'll post when you get them, I will be interested to hear! Uggs are just too pricey, though I love them!

Reasonable shipping out there: yes, my order for 2 pair of rose gold clad earrings at HSN were $19.99 AND are shipping to me for $1.99!!! And I use Amazon all the time; check out their inventory when you are tempted to buy something from the Q; they often have it and the price and shipping are considerably less.

I have a pair of Bearpaws slippers, they're ok but they don't compare to Uggs. On their website for their boots, they state wool blend lining ( which sounds like a bonded 2 layer product, not a full sheepskin) with a sheepskin footbed. Uggs states 17mm grade "A" Twinface sheepskin upper and skeepskin sockliner

Uggs are the real thing. Bearpaws are too. Will see how they compare. There is no boot that keep my feet as warm.

Here is a wiki about Uggs.

I guess it depends on how you define real. Bearpaws are cowhide uppers with wool blend lining ( blended with what I don't know). Uggs are sheepskin uppers and sheepskin lining. The only part that is hair on sheepskin on Bearpaws is the footbed.

Ah...I see. I wonder if it will be as warm? With the Uggs, I really understood how very warm real fur is. Real fur coats/jackets has the animal hide (the skin attached to the fur) That insulates you from the cold. It also makes the coat heavy. I have a Russian coworker who still has her real fur coats (in Russia, you wear real fur) The Russian coats are not luxury fur, but from animals consumed for food or predictors. The poorest people in Russia wear real fur to survive the bitter cold. Fake fur can't do that. It's woven synthetic fabric.
