I absolutely love animal print -- mostly on animals, where it belongs. I do have a couple of cozy throws and one of those large, hooded, Comfy things from the Q. But, I don't remember ever owning, or wearing anything animal print outside the home. It's just not me.

Yesterday morning I was bored so I put on YouTube and a recommended video came up about style trends and what is dated/out of style.

These recommendations always make me laugh but among other things, the woman said animal print is out.  I personally don't think animal print is ever out.  I think sometimes it is more popular than other times but it seems to have become a classic.

LOVE animal print.  It's a classic.

I'm just not fond of snake prints.  I never thought snakes were pretty.

Is anybody else sick of ANIMAL PRINT?

@Kitty 2889    Yes...and camo...huge florals...and high low hems.

I still like and wear animal prints.  I remember my first animal print articles.  One was a leopard belt I wore with a red dress and leopard earrings and the other was a leopard corduroy straight skirt back in the early 60's.

Also glad to see that plaids are trending as I have always worn them as well.  My weakness is black watch plaid and I still remember a black watch plaid wool coat I wore in the 60's and black watch plaid pants I wore as a teen.  I also remember a Dan Rivers blue and brown plaid dress I had in 2nd grade.  I guess I really do like plaid!

Traditionally, leopard print particularly would come in and go out every few years. There are movies from the 1940s and 50s showing it.

My friend said in the early 60s her grandmother bought her a leopard print coat from New York City and none of the other little girls had one like it. She has nearly black hair, so I imagine it did look very cute on her.

I have a t-shirt from the 1980s ($60 at the time) a blouse, two coats, a turtle neck and two robes in various leopard prints.

It seems like it has been on a long run this time around but I really do think its a classic that looks good whether you are blonde, brunette, or redhead.  It might go out for a couple of years, but if it performs as it has historically, it will come right back in.

I'm sick to death of the leopard print.  I always think cheap floosie when I see it, especially lots of it.  However, I've always liked the reptile prints.
