@Imaoldhippie. When I cook meat that is potentially tough, I use the pressure cooker.  Not only is it fast but the meat is falling-apart tender.

@Kachina624

I have a recipe that I got in the AT&T cookbook many years ago for making beef tender (that chip steak or whatever you call it).  It takes 2-3 hours in the oven with a can of mushroom soup on 250 degrees and it falls apart.

I gave my instant pot to #3 son, after very few uses as it was so heavy.  It was a big one. I might get a smaller size from Santa Claus. They do make the best and tenderest roast I ever ate in my life.

Loving the discussion of the pressure cooker!

Yesterday was a red-letter day for me.

After months and months of recovery and absolutely NO ENERGY, I successfully attempted an outing knowing full well it would be from dawn to dusk and accompanied with loud, reverberating music!

DSIL drove the whole crew to Canton, Ohio to watch a cheer competition!

The roads were VERY CURVY 🤢!

It was just the best, most worthwhile time!

That sounds like a wonderful Autumn day full of happy.  Let the cheering from all Grandmothers now begin.  Yay!

The grandmother could definitely be heard cheering from the gym floor on Saturday!

Grandmother could definitely be seen "recovering" on Sunday! LOL

I made a discovery (new to me)! While at the event, available from concession stand, I discovered what a "walking taco"is!

In a bag of Doritos they added browned ground beef, cheese, and lettuce!  WOW

Really, a perfect way to eat at such an event! I ordered two and shared.

For some reason, I was not hungry for subway on the way there (curvy country roads 🤢) but when arriving at the convention center, I was hungry!

That must be a very popular item at such events.  I never saw that before. I have made such for finger foods.  Using Doritos, hamburger meat that I browned with taco flavoring packet, some ripe olives and cheese at the food bar.

Hi!
Yes...this item WAS popular!

Normally, without this choice, I might have ordered a plain old hot dog!

Near the end of the day, I stopped back by for another, and they were almost out!

Earlier that day, I noticed a HUGE piece of foil and couldn't figure out what it was for?

It was for these tacos...the ground beef having been prepared in the venues large kitchens then kept warm? Yum

Your idea sounds great even for a grouping or party!
