The Jason Wu Big Deal dress is cute, but I recently purged half of the dresses I had because I don't wear dresses very often anymore.

However, yesterday I wore a sleeveless LOGO cotton slub dress and put a plain white t-shirt under it, making the dress more like a casual jumper. It was a nice change from wearing pants everyday.

Although I was a July baby, I'm not at all a summer person and tend to ignore all fashions of this season.  This is the time of year for me to scour the previous fall items for great markdowns; and I've found some doozies over the past couple of months.  Here are a few from Pendleton during their rare  percentage off sales:

ALTERNATE VIEW OF WOMEN'S LAMBSWOOL GRAPHIC SWEATER IN DARK BRONZE MULTI

WOMEN'S HARDING RAGLAN COTTON SWEATER

ALTERNATE VIEW OF WOMEN'S VINTAGE WOOL WORK JACKET IN TAN CHIEF JOSEPH

@jackthebear @your husband has his opinion.  I disagree.  There are times when a heel is appropriate

I was born at the end of August so I didn't hit the general population Woman Wink until fall was practically upon us.  Fall and Winter clothing and accessories have always been my favorite.

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

Today we have a reprieve from the HOT weather in NW OH, but only a couple of days.  Then back to the 90s again.

Going to finish up my perennial flower planting today.  Been doing it in dribs and drabs.  Hope I decide to quit Smiley Happy.  Probably do some laundry, too.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

@Bird mama

We're a month apart in terms of birth month ... I'm at the end of July; no wonder we like the same fashions and accessories ... Woman Wink

@SoX  Upat 6AM on Sat. here...What?!? ... Just my body's natural rhythm, I guess. I'm on my second cup of coffee after a long walk before the heat/humidity gets out of control.

Giving in to the curls for summer and am loving JTV shampoos and conditioners to keep down the frizz. Will post more in "Beauty".

Errands to run, lunch out w/ DH and a stop at Target...always have a list, but come out with a basket full of "stuff".

Making chicken burritos on the indoor grill for dinner...chicken marinating now. It's too hot to think about using the oven.

Have a wedding late afternoon and do the bridal makeup at 5PM, but am not actually going and staying at the wedding. She's a natural beauty and wears very little makeup. I just tweaked it with liner, brighter blush and lips so she'll photograph well. Hey, at 26 we ccould all get by with very little makeup, right?

Enjoy your weekend and stay cool.

If the sun makes it warm enough outside later, I'm giving my small dog her bath out there. I bring 3 pitchers of warm water, baby shampoo, and a towel, and eliminate the wet mess inside the house.

What are your plans for today in the nice weather?

@SoX   July baby here, too...the 20th. Hating the summer...always have and love the winter. Bring on the cold, chilly mornings.
