Re: AM I TOO OLD FOR.....?

[ Edited ]

My DD wanted the jacket so badly, so I put it away for her before she moved to Seattle from VA. When she realized how much it rained, she knew it wouldn't be practical.

It went to the back of the closet and going through everything I found it and said what the heck...with a few second thoughts.

After reading replies, I'm going to wear it. I always dress quite tailored and the jacket is not over the top biker, so there you go. I always enjoyed the bit of edge it added to my outfit.

No,  You are definiately not too old.  I don't think everyone can carry it off but the way you have always posted and sort of describe yourself, I believe you can!  Wear it and enjoy it!!!

@Enufstuff   What a funny post.  I can't even imagine what that man was thinking to wear only a loin cloth!

Another funny thing about your story is that when I first read the sentence you wrote about everyone being interested in "handcrafts" in the 70's, I thought it said "handcuffs".  And I thought, "gee, I don't remember that" lol.

Then I re-read the sentence and got it right.  hahaha

Yes, Please! To all of them!

I'm 64, retired.  That's pretty much how I dress.  My friends in their 70s do too.

If I lived in a cooler climate, I'd go for elegant with this jacket.

Black midi wool skirt with black leather knee high boots.  Blouse would be ivory silk or satin and the lovely jacket on top.

Oh, and not much jewelry needed.  Diamond earrings are always nice.

It always depends on how something is styled, as well as where is this person wearing it to ....

This "look" would go well at a good restaurant for dinner or an upscale nightclub.

Where this wouldn't do well is to go grocery shopping mid-afternoon.  People would think she was deranged.

(Do nightclubs still exist?)

@Tinkrbl44   In my college town night clubs are bars. They line the streets downtown.

I think the woan below is a bit overdone. The jacket stands on it's own and doesn't need drop earrings, etc.

Hahaha, OK now, tell me what you really think......Kinda rude comment, really.

Maybe just me but I'd never call a persons picture they posted "horrible" even if I thought it was....Woman Tongue
