That's a smart way to 'help' a reluctant cat into the carrier @jackthebear

Papa Cat can't pick her up. After 5.5 years, I can barely pick her up. She runs away from him. He can pet her if she is already relaxed and seated on the bed/scratcher, but it's between 3-4 strokes- no more!

That really stinks that your new fish pendant had a bum closure @lolakimono I saw the help (no help, lol) you received in the other forum.

Hi! Waving
yes I have tried Beekman products... the lip balm (plain unscented; hand lotion and creme; cuticle cream;
but what i like best are their wipes...for cleaning glass or screens (as in phone or tablet.)

@LTT1 @lolakimono @jackthebear Ms Lola's a teacher so we know her c-a-t-s are s-m-a-r-t-e-r-than the average c-a-t-s!!!!
They may not however know what's going to happen at the v-e-t.

@lolakimono Yea, we've had cats like that. When you adopt or in my family's case - they find you - and the cat has been on the earth for a while already, you just don't know what marked them to shape the behavior. My parents had a cat that lived to be at least 17 or 18 and until her last day, only my father could pick her up and sit her next to him on the couch. She didn't like anyone else picking her up and she didn't like to be too far off the floor.

step 1. bring up carrier day before
step 2 isolate cat in bedroom
step 3 upend carrier
step 4 pick up cat and quickly stuff in box
sometimes its good to have helper, but have done it before alone

so true
I think their behavior and affinity to humans is shaped in early kittenhood,
our cat now was a stray/street cat my daughter found really just semi-feral and that's really part of her
