Here is my thinking...only supposition, of course.

Would the Q risk taking a chance on losing Leah?

I don't think so.
Because of this, I believe she might want early retirement?

It's a possibility, of course, but I doubt it.   I think the recent changes in management (CEO) changes the concept of what we're used to seeing here.

On a daily basis, my email inbox is being flooded with ads from the Q ... I'm talking lots and lots.   I don't recall ever seeing so much junk mail before ... they just want you to buy, buy, buy.  IN YOUR FACE... and I'm about to opt out of getting all these ads.

Don't know how many years are on their contracts but I am sure many of the senior hosts are watching their backs.

My guess is that when contracts come up for renewal, long term higher paid hosts are offered contracts with major pay cuts that aren't accepted. Leah's may be expiring soon.

It's obvious the Q is cutting expenses everywhere they can and raising prices to remain profitable. It's a losing battle and only a matter of time.

@occasionalrain   Those are my thoughts too. Even Microsoft where my SIL is employed is cutting the higher salaried personal in favor of the younger/newer "just hireds". Thankfully he's in a very high management position that does some of the hiring for Microsoft, so he's there until retirement. They recruited him to Seattle from Microsoft in McLean VA.

Bingo!!  The next time they let a few expensive long time hosts go,  they will be ready to plug in less expensive but fully trained and experienced newer hosts.  And I do believe that in 2024, some other long time hosts will leave "to spend time with my family".   They'll make it worth it for them to go voluntarily and avoid the PR mess they created when they let Dan and Caroline go.

Lol.  Are there any retailers that DON'T want us to buy, but, buy?

and from what I have seen some of the newer hosts are already better than "more experienced" hosts
