Good morning Style Setters! Awake at 5:30 and only 68 degrees (?!?!), so Molly and my flashlight got in our walk. A sweaty, sticky morning for sure. Sitting on the bar stool with my coffee.

The house is so quiet at this time of day....only snoring from Molly and sometimes DH. I have my coffee while I journal.

All the universities in my area, three major ones, are welcoming students this weekend. The local roads and highways are jammed so I'm staying put. I may have to actually watch A.M. Style.

Catching up now with Friday Night Beauty which is back from the vault!

What's everyone planning this weekend?

Good Morning @Shanus and thanks for starting us off today.  I think I am going to research irons this morning.  Last week I was rushing around the basement and didn't pay attention to the cord that was dangling off of my iron which was propped up on the ironing board.  I knocked my beloved Sunbeam iron off of the ironing board and the basement floor was too much for it.  My sunbeam iron is the only iron that I ever owned - it was so old that it was made in the USA.

Rest In Peace beloved Sunbeam 1981 - 2023.  I briefly thought about burying it in the backyard Woman Very Happy

Good morning @Bird mama . Sorry about your iron. I went to a steamer from Amazon...where else? My laundry room is at the other end of the house and my ironing board is set up in there but it seemed crazy to set up there when I just needed a touched up that was pressed too close in my closet. If you don't do a basket full of ironing, check out a steamer. Heart

I have a Sunbeam, too but not as old as yours.

Good morning! 80 here this morning with 90% humidity! I expect hot weather in our summertime but we usually get a break here and there. I don't think we've hit below 80 since the end of June and those temps are in the nighttime hours when I'm getting my beauty rest. Our weather generally heats up in August and September so guess we've got a couple more months of this. The upside: the late summer flowers are in full bloom. Not sure what's on my agenda today. I need to clean out my garage, have some boxes for donating that I've been filling up this summer and need to get rid of them, maybe I'll load them up in the trunk. As my normal is, I've got more excitement in my life than I can handleWoman LOL

Not excited with anything aired yet on this morning's show but did watch the Skinn repeat earlier on HSN; I may be tempted there if I keep the TV on later. Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!

@Bird mama , sorry for your loss! I'm still using an old Rowenta that I got from QVC over a decade ago and love it. I don't iron much nowadays after I retired but love the finish I get when I do use it. A friend has a +20 year old T-Fal that he swears by. I didn't even know they made irons! Good luck on your search!

@Bird mama,

I have the same Sunbeam iron as you! Still works great and no need for another new iron!
