I also love shopping at TJMaxx and Marshalls. Unfortunately they just closed the Marshalls near me. But I have TJMaxx within a mile so I am there frequently - don't always find something but when I do it makes me giddy. Have gotten great values on purses, designer jewelry, clothing, shoes and household items.
I love treasure hunting there !

I've never been a fan of Marshall's of TJMaxx. I stopped in a few times and was disappointed with the selection of merchandise.
I used to like Filene's Basement and Loehmann's ... but they are no longer among the living. Loehmann's had THE BEST shoe department and selection of accessories.

I think Marshall's and TJM cater to the area of their location. There is one not far from here that carries a lot of higher end brands. I've been to others that are a step above mart stores.

I've had good luck at Ross, Marshall's and TJMaxx. I try on everything and am satisfied before I hand over my money. I like Kohl's also, especially for cotton or cotton blend tops.
Not such great luck with Qvc, and only sometimes with HSN.
I really love the TJMaxx in my town for beauty products, kid stuff, food and home dec. I go there every week since it opened last fall.

I love Marshall's and TJ Maxx. I believe it depends where you live though. I've been to some of these stores that are awful and have different merchandise in different areas of town.

Gigy, sounds like you hit the jack pot. I am happy for you!!!!! I love going to Marshalls, but we live over a hundred miles away from one, so I don't get to go all that often. Bummer!

Love TJMaxx too, and I'll add Burlington's Coat factory to the list.

That might be true ... in NYC there are so many other places to shop.

I can totally believe it -- I love Marshalls, too. I can go in and come out with great bargains on clothing (women's AND men's), shoes, home accents and pet toys -- all in ONE store! And I hate to say it, but QVC's prices have "forced" me back into the stores again. Their prices have SOARED through the roof. I watched some of the Bob Mackie show over the weekend (I love his clothing) but everything was so expensive. Tops are in the $50 - $65 range (without shipping and tax). So, when it comes to QVC, I've cut way down, but I still check out clearance items and lunchtime specials hoping to catch a great deal.
