I too love black and white stripes best and the entire look the model was wearing.

Sort of offensive to think you should not look like a tourist (after all the money they are making off tourists.  But I'd rather say you should look like a nicely dressed and polite tourist!  Don't try to look or act like a native.  You will just make it worse.
