which is better the iPhone 5 or iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c thinking about getting my first iPhone help

When buying a device, it's best to get the newest version and that would be the iPhone 6. If you don't want the newest, get the iPhone 5s. The iPhone 5c is the bargin model and not recommended.

If you are comfortable with Apple products in other aspects of your communication needs, an iPhone may work great for you. If you are used to non-Apple products, one of the Samsungs may work great too. Within Apple products, the 5s is the most recent upgrade previous to the newly introduced iPhone 6 and 6+, and there have been good prices available for the 5s.

If those are the choices, then I would say go with the 5s. Of the 5 version, the S is the newest, and introduced at the same time as the C. The C is the budget model. But...if you have the option to get a 6 or 6plus instead, I would go with one of those because that is the latest model. 6 screen size is just a little bigger than the 5 model line, 6plus is huge.
