Awhile back Albany demonstrated an item

(forgive my lack of computer savvy)

On a cafe computer you could insert this small drive and it captured your online

work without leaving a footprint on that computer

Anyone know what it is?

I hope that what she was presenting was something to PREVENT that device from working in your computer. That's just scary that your info can be grabbed without leaving a hint on your computer.

Were you talking about something you could put on your computer that wouldn't leave something like 'cookies' when you went to a website?

There are websites you can go through that will not show up on your computer or leave cookies that you visited a website.

Is that what you were talking about?

I know what you're talking about but I don't remember what it's called. It was a gadget that prevented others from obtaining your personal information when you were working on a public signal. (Like at a coffee house or some such place.)

It might be SurfEasy. This device claims it can be used on any computer for private browsing and that you'll leave no personal info on the computer you've used.
