Tracfone advertises that you can make international calls BUT they do not say that the other party also needs to use a TRACFONE.  I tried to use mine in Europe and it did not work because the other person did not use a tracfone.  I wish they would clarify this!

DS was stationed in Europe for 3 years. We always used What's App for calls over the phone or over Facebook.

According to their FAQ, calls can't be made from outside the US.
