Re: pay as you go phone plans

I have been a Verizon customers since 2003. I updated my old Samsung flip phone to a smart phone last August. Verizon offered long term customers a "Loyalty Plan or contract". I pay $60 dollars a month for unlimited talk & Text, and 2GB of Mobile data. I brought a Galaxy S4 phone.

If you want to upgrade, call Verizon Wireless after looking at phones on the web site. If you just need a new voice phone call Verizon after finding a phone on the site. You should be able to replace a new basic phone on your current contract.

Re: pay as you go phone plans

I have a T Mobil cheap very plain phone . Once a year I buy $100 in minutes. The minutes I do not use, roll into the new year. I just use my phone for emergencies, so....basically I do not use it other than to charge it. For $10 a month I have an emergency phone with more minutes than I could ever use.

I keep a Trac Phone in my purse, for emergencies mostly. I buy a years worth of minutes at a time, then forget about it.

I do like Shellbelle and use my phone very little. I use a TracPhone which only costs me $7, a month. I never use anywhere near all my annual minutes.

Re: pay as you go phone plans

We are getting rid of Virgin Mobile and replacing them with Trac Phones. We hate cell phones but want them for emergencies only. Can't wait to get rid of VM bill every month and just buy what we use/need. VM had terrible coverage.

Re: pay as you go phone plans

I too am a technology dinosaur and i opted to go with tracfone. For a one time charge of $98 I get a year of service and 700 min. Now my particular phone (an LG 840G) has triple min so I get 3 x that or 2100 min in actual fact. tracfone does not require that I only have a certain amount for texting and another amount for calls. they are my min to use as I please. My phone is only semi smart which is fine with me - i am not the type to have my phone in my ear or my face 24/7 and would not use an i phone enough to make it worth the money to me. My coverage with tracfone is great - we travel all over and i have had no complaints about coverage anywhere. so , breaking it down - a new semi smart phone - 2100 min and a year of time is slightly under $100, one time only - no monthly charge.that is only about $8 a month. another good pay as you go phone is AT&T Go phone.
