? on windows 7 starter...

I just bought E245559 and it has windows 7 starter...I do not know about this as i have xp in my ibm which is ready to die.....

Will windows starter be good enough for me if i just use it for surfing the web,and emails?Also how much different is this to windows xp?...Will i have any problems?....I really do not know much about computers at all as you can see lol..
