iPod Touch 4th Generation....Decision Must Be Made Today..Questions

I am trying to decide whether or not to buy this device for my son. He has a phone of some sort with Internet access, music, ect.

Would an Ipod Touch be redundant? Is 32G suffiicient, or should I spring for 64G?

I have researched it, and can get the 32G one on Amazon for a heck of a lot less than it's being sold for here.The one sold on this site comes with some accessories, but at a very steep price. I figure he can buy his own accessories, buying those he wants and needs himself.

He is in his early twenties, has a laptop, and the phone I described.

I want to get him a nice gift, and as time is running out, I need to make a decision today.

I need feedback.
