Re: iPAD PRO CELLULAR QUESTION

@Moonchilde

Please let us know what you think of your new iPad Pro after you've used it for a while.  I'd be interested to know what the difference is between the Ipad and the Pro.  I've pretty much scraped my computer and use the iPad now and may be interested in the Pro when I need a new device.

Re: iPAD PRO CELLULAR QUESTION

@geezerette, so far I'm pleased! I didn't expect a huge difference, but the processor is faster than my Air 2 and I do notice that in apps. The screen is MUCH brighter, and I LOVE the super-much-better speakers! I haven't really noticed a huge difference with the Tru-Tone automatic tint adjust, but I haven't been looking at lots of photos or done photo editing yet.

Since I was able to get a Logitech keyboard case paid for with my trade-in, I'm enjoying using that. Less fingerprints on the screen. And it's back-lit, not sure if Apple's is - don't think so. It's also a great sturdy protective case - only in black, though :-(

I clearly did something wrong, settings-wise on the iPad, with the Mi-Fi, and I might be taking that back. I used it for a grand total of about 60-75 min (intermittent, not straight) the first night and that used up 99% (not kidding) of 4GB.

That made NO sense to me based on my iPhone usage when I would play video clips, etc. I shut it OFF and will try it again tomorrow (new billing cycle) and see what happens. I need to make sure NOTHING is running or updating in the background. We'll see! Might well be my boo-boo and I just need to see how to manage it.

And I might just take the Mi-Fi back and use regular signal. I saw a small difference in speed between Mifi & regular, but not huge. And if Mifi eats up data faster, then no way! Will be able to tell within a few days.

I also *think* (can't be sure yet) that I get a better wifi signal than with my Air 2.

I didn't really want to do it, but the contract got me $200 off the price of a new iPad, I can pay it off anytime I want, i.e. early, and when the next Pro comes out I can easily upgrade if I really want to. I'd love the 12.9", but would not want the current 12.9" Pro as it's not as feature-advanced as the 9.7".

@Moonchilde

I'm glad you're enjoying your new purchase.  It sounds like you are having fun getting acquainted with it.

I do know that my friend that uses the MiFi says that she only turns it on when she uses it for printing or needs it for her computer.  (Her Ipad has cellular too.)  So maybe it does use more data that way, I don't know.

Re: iPAD PRO CELLULAR QUESTION

If it does not specify on website that model is wi-fi only. it will tell you the carrier  if there is one. if its wifi only that explains the cheaper price.  It may be easier  for you  to just purchase  threw verizon and if you signed up on ebates.,com  there is a cash back offer  for adding a line to verizon  available now. $75 cashback new service $30 on add a line

Re: iPAD PRO CELLULAR QUESTION

I take what i said back. I went to the website and the ones that say wifi+ cellular do not tell us the cell company. how frustrating. i would call apple and ask if they can tell you
