iOS 13.6 on iPad 7

[ Edited ]

I installed this the other day and now some things aren't working. A website hsn.com, for one. I can't sign in, get into order status, favorites, or items aired. I wonder if that's part of the issue I'm having now with things on this website - things like videos often not working (though that has been long-standing), going back to a previous page not working, and not seeing lunchtime specials. Some Facebook stuff isn't good now.

anyone else experiencing issues? You can't go back to previous iOS versions now.

All mine were updated to this a bit ago and I have seen no problems.

Hi, @Thats Me !  I'm having problems with the HSN site for the last couple of days.  My iPad is on software 13.5.1.  HSN takes forever to load and once it does my touchscreen doesn't seem to work.  When I touch an icon like Favorites, it looks like it knows it has been requested but nothing ever happens or loads.  I've had to use the app on my phone, which I hate.

just wanted you to know you are not alone and that it may have nothing to do with the iPad software.

@MJDinVegas @Hi! I am with you on apps. Generally I just don't want to get into having to use specific apps. Guess I'll just wit to see what happens. There's not much else I can do anyway. Can't use the link to contact them either!

Re: iOS 13.6 on iPad 7

[ Edited ]

@Thats Me@MJDinVegas,  QVC's website has a growing number of technical problems and at this point it's nearly impossible for us to tell if any of them are related to specific devices, software, etc.

As far as problems that might be related to our iPads in general on various websites -- I'm using an iPad 6, iPadOS 13.6, with no problems on HSN or Facebook.

The previous versions, iPadOS 13.5 and 13.5.1 worked fine on HSN and other sites, too.

I suspect some of the problems you see can be cleared up with one of more of the standard troubleshooting suggestions.   Here's a list I've posted before -- apologies if you've already tried all of these.

Believe me, I understand how frustrating the glitches can be and my fingers are crossed that you'll find an easy solution.❤️

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some basic troubleshooting suggestions:
1 -- Be sure you have the most recent software for your iPad (in this case, we know you do!😊).
2 -- Close all apps running in background.
3 -- Clear browser data.  If you're using Safari, go into Settings, Safari, and clear history and website data and under "Advanced" be sure to tap "Website Data" and then remove everything there, too.
4 -- If you're using bookmarks/favorites to access a website, try bypassing those.   Instead, open your browser and go directly to the website (old bookmarks/favorites sometimes direct us to areas that have problems).
5 -- Try a simple shutdown and restart (using the "slide to power off" slider).
6 -- Try a hard reset/reboot.
7 -- Reset Network Settings.   Under "General" and "Reset," tap "Reset Network Settings" (the device will reboot and you'll need your router password to reconnect to the router).
8 -- Reset your router (again, be sure you know your password/credentials before you do this).
9 -- Backup/sync your iPad to iTunes or to iCloud (this needs to be done regularly, not just to preserve your information but also to remove a lot of diagnostic/analytics data that can cause problems and takes up a considerable amount of space).
I updated my iPad Mini and both my new iPads and had no problem. I really saw no difference in battery draining either which was nice.
I am always hesitate to do an update and tried one first for a day and then did the other two. I do my updates plugged into an outlet as not to lose my connection. And never had a problem.
Hope you found a solution. Sometimes just a reset solves the problem. Always make sure it finishes the update also as it goes through the update, download and install process.
Hope all of you are safe and healthy.
I have 13.6 update on my iPad and the last few days I have not been able to go to any HSN pages except the home page. Can't get into my account, daily schedule, recent items, etc. I have rebooted, cleared cache, closed HSN website and reloaded, no success. I haven't had trouble navigating any other website, just HSN.
I haven't been able to get in and open in search on HSN for three days. I don't believe it is the new iPad update as it did it the day before that.
I think IT Techs might be able to check it on HSN end. Frustrating not be able to check on an order etc. It opens the site but that's about it.
@Darssvt and @MKR14,  I've tried a number of things on HSN.com with my iPad 6, v. 13.6, with no problems.   If you're using a bookmark/favorite, did you try going directly to the site instead?
Here's a direct link:
https://www.hsn.com/
Did you try resetting the iPad network settings (and possibly your router)?  What happens when you go to the site and try to navigate -- what do you see?   I'm sorry for all the questions...  just hoping to find a clue that might lead us to a resolution.
Another option I just thought of:
The last time I had a technical problem on HSN.com I used their feedback form to report it.    You'll see the option at the bottom of all their pages, "Give Us Feedback" -- it links to this form:
https://egain.hsn.com/system/templates/selfservice/hsn/help/customer/locale/en-US/portal/25070000000...
After I submitted my report I received responses from their customer service group, from email address "customerservice@hsn.com" and they forwarded my information to their IT staff.
I'm sorry you're having problems.   Wish I could help.   It seems that both QVC and HSN are having tech problems that are inconsistent and hard to pin down.
