gigaset- replaceable batteries?

I got last year's for my husband- He loves it-- But when the battery goes- it said it isn't replaceable ( it's still going for now and he recharges it- but it would be nice if you could replace it -- cause what happens to stuff stored on it if it conks out?

If it's like most devices with batteries, it will need to have a tech or manufacturer replace the battery.  If it's a phone, look at this:

These small portable devices are practically meant to be disposable.  I have heard about some very tech inclined people changing the battery (google it)  but I don't think the average user (myself included) would do it successfully.

 

If there is valuable info stored on the tablet, can it be transferred to a PC with a usb cable?
