? about wireless router

I'm not tech smart so this may be a very dumb ?. If I have a wireless router but am using a wired computer to do banking or other online business is that going to be secure or do I have to undo the wireless router?

I did see while searching this board that you all leave your wireless router on 24/7 so I'm guessing that's ok to do.

See I told you I'm tech illiterate. Thanks for any help you can give me.
