? about "Windows Not Responding" ?

My husband has an HP laptop and I have a Dell. I have the same anti virus on both of them (Microsoft Sec. Essentials) and Malwarebytes on both. His constantly goes into the "Windows not responding" and mine does not. Can anyone of you tell me what this is?
