I have had an iPad Air since the first of December and just received my iPhone 5s. I've had Samsung/Android phones for years. I chose to go with Apple for a variety of reasons, mainly because the iPad has many more apps that are useable for my business and the iPhone so I can sync between these for personal and business. I would like people's opinion of the workshops provided by the Apple store. Do they really give quality instruction to help get the most out of the products?

TIA

Re: ?? about Apple Workshops

I have found them to be very good. Particularly the 1 on 1.

Re: ?? about Apple Workshops

Check out ALL the workshops- 1 to 1 costs $100/ year and is worth every single cent, and there are also free group meetings and workshops available that can also be terrific. They are taught be store personnel so it's possible to get someone who may not be the best teacher, but when that happens, you can re-take the same "lesson" until you understand it.

Most of the time Apple techs are great, well except the one who told me trash a huge music file instead of moving it to another computer, don't ask the aggrevation the ensued

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

I don't understand why you were told to trash a file instead of moving it to another computer. Did he ask you whether or not you had backed up the file on line? If he didn't, his bad. But, if you didn't, your bad too. You should back up your computer. I have an external hard drive. There are off-site storage places, too.

Thanks to everyone. I checked the workshop schedule at the closest Apple store and will sign up for the ones on the phone and iPad as soon as possible, then later take the iCloud, etc. Also found out the local Business Women's group has classes on using the iPad and iPhone for your business which would help also.
