Epicurean, There was a thread last week with reports of problems, but it seemed as though they were cleared up (see Is Yahoo acting up? in Beauty Banter, link http://community.qvc.com/forums/beauty-banter/topic/456944/is-yahoo-acting-up.aspx).
I don't use Yahoo email, but I don't see any reports of the system being down. The message about your Internet connection makes me wonder: from what type of device are you trying to access your mail? A mobile device, or a computer? If it's a mobile device, you might want to try deleting the mail account and then re-establishing it.
