@SouthernBee  I wouldn't think you would need to install an APP to access Yahoo email as long as you're connected to the Internet. That said, I have never tried to access mail on my tablet. I only do email on my laptop, because it's easier that way. I don't want to make matters worse but can only tell you that were it me, I'd log out, shut down reboot and start over. That said, there's no guarantee that will solve the problem.

@stevieb : All my previous error messages have disappeared. Everything looks ok. I am not installing the app. Bummer just dealing with all this extra stuff.I only have a cell phone and tablet. Bad eyes but use tablet for everything.

@SouthernBee - I think something has been going on with Yahoo this week.  On Tuesday I wrote an email to a friend and it just kept saying "sending".  (I was on my desktop, using Edge.)

It was odd because it didn't autofill her email address and the font was larger and different from what I normally use.

Anyway, eventually I had to just log off (it was still saying "sending" and the little wheel was going round and round), because I had an appointment.

Later that night I found out that it never sent the email and didn't save it, so I had to start over.  Luckily, it sent that one.

No idea what happens with these companies sometimes!  They certainly didn't warn about any maintenance being done.

@Venezia : I totally agree and understand. Just frustrating having to deal with extra stuff. I had 4 problems to work on this morning before the email junk started last night.

I'm so sorry @SouthernBee , I just got home from work and checked in here so I hadn't seen your message until now.  I'm not having any of the issues with yahoo others seem to be having, but that means almost nothing.

If everything is working correctly and you're not seeing the error messages, you may have fixed everything by updating your device.  Most issues happen when the device and app aren't "talking to each other" correctly after one is updated but the other isn't.   I hope this is resolved for you!

@SouthernBee You have to sign into you email and other accounts from every device you use to access it.  That is how it knows it is you on each one.

I can't get on QVC on my new Fire 10.  QVC doesn't recognize my email account and I've had it over 20 years!
