Xtra Roku Help also Angry Birds Misinformation

I got and hooked up my Roku xd last night and my batteries that came with it went dead after like 10 min., I put in new ones and they are not always clicking so maybe I have a short. Anyway I remember Rick saying you could play Angry Birds for free. Well You have to buy a different remote for $29.95 to be able to play and if I spend the money for tht are there any other free games. I don't think I want to pay almost $30.00 just for one game. Also every thing I see on Disney and most other channels are 30 sec. clips not full movies. And still cannot find old tv shows for free.So far anything free has been just little clips ,and nothing of any matter, can someone tell me if they found any good shows that do not cost money for a subscription? Kathy
