Did anyone update there computers with the new update from Microsoft's 10? I am going to hold off with that for the moment because, I do not know if it is real or not? So many scams out there who knows?

My system is set to do automatic updates to Win10. The last major one was done back in December and it was for 'Feature Updates'. After that it's been the usual security updates, last one done on 1/9.
I just did a "Check for Updates" and there are none. My system is up to date according to this.

@apple1964 I received the notification a few days ago but keep putting off installing the update. I'm just not ready to go there quite yet. I'll be interested in reading the responses you get.

I'll add my 2 cents - updates kept dogging me to allow them to do it - I continued to say - 'later'. Finally it just took over my computer and did it - - and now when I first turn computer on it's asking if I want them to ....reconfigure - or configure (can't recall). I say NO. In the past updates have scrambled my 'favorites' all over the place and it takes time to put Humpty Dumpty back where I want it. (don't really know what config does = crazy)

Good morning... I just went to Microsoft.com there is indeed a new update called "fall windows 10" something to that effect . I will hold off a little longer too. It seems to need a lot of space and may take a while to download. What it is suppose to improve I do not think will make too much of a difference right now so I am waiting for the other response's too. Thank you for your reply. Have a nice weekend!

What version of Win10 are you currently using? I'm using version 1709 which is the 'Fall Creators Update' version. No problems so far.

Huh? I never heard of a fake update, how would that even work? Of course, I did the Windows 10 update. It included some enhanced privacy elements so who wouldn't want that? It did take a while. Between the Windows 10 update and then the Acer update that followed and then my Epson printer update; the process took about 2 hours. I'm glad I did it in the evening.

Open your update settings and it'll tell you if an update is due.

I did the Fall Creaters update. It was not as massive as the previous Creaters Update. I looked at what was updated and none of it applied to anything I do.
But I have mine set to notify me first before updating and I like to google and see what people are saying about the update so I know what I'm getting into when I hit okay.
I do the same thing with iTunes. I never let that update until I find out how it went for people with Win10.
