I use to post under gardengal613 until something happened with my account and I couldn't log in.  I tried going through tech or customer support and nothing worked.  So, I created a new account.  Doing what I suggested will not effect the working of your other programs.

Re: Windows Security

[ Edited ]

I really want to try Firefox download again but still don't feel comfortable because I do pay bills online.  Who knows maybe one day I'll say what the heck.  I believe what you said cause it makes sense.  If I'm not mistaken the repair guy reloaded my windows to see if that would fix it.  I don't know why he wouldn't of tried to put Firefox back in.  My whole Firefox is in Edge so would have to transfer that.  I am learning how to use Edge although it's not as easy but learning something new.  I can see the advantages of Edge but it's something I don't need. If Windows was reinstalled wouldn't the DLL be replaced since it was missing?  I did a backup of Windows when my computer was new in case I ever needed it.  Glad to hear that redoing Firefox wouldn't affect anything else.  When I took the computer in I could access Firefox and had the top menu bar and my bookmarks on top and had the taskbar on the bottom, nothing in between.  That's when I got the DLL missing message.   I just checked and apparently Firefox was reinstalled on the date I took the computer in.
