Windows 8 verdict?

Anybody else just not liking Windows 8? I got an HP Special value and like the computer but 8 is annoying the heck out of me. Constant logins needed, browser bar at bottom of screen, getting everything set up the way I want it only to have it revert back after windows does an update. I've had Windows XP and Vista laptops since 1990 and no problems. Is it just me?
