Windows 10 upgrade Help

I did try. Had to take it off my PC. I got put in AIRPLANE MODE. Afraid to try it again.

Any ideas, help, would be appreciated.

I am annoyed by the constant notices to download Windows 10. I do not download with out checking with several knowing sources in advance as I am not as computer wise as many . Several puter techs recommended that I not accept these free downloads. To date they have heard many problems that need to be corrected before they would recommend. Like most new products there are bugs that have to be worked out and first buyers pay the price. Also I bought my 20" HP Touch w/ Windows 7 from QVC about 5 years ago. It is a great unit and does all that I need. It came with free Microsoft Word and Excell and many other free items for the life of the puter. Todays purchases do not offer extras like this for life. If I accept the Windows 10 download I will probably lose all of these programs and have to purchase them. "If it is not broken, don"t fix it". I am happy where I am.

Don't have 10 on the desktop yet. DH just put it on the laptop that had 8.1 on it. So far he says he likes it & thinks I will.

When if you update to Win 10 you will still have Microsoft Word, Excel etc.

Thanks so much. I feel safer now. I still would be more comfy if I had someone around here who could help me that did not charge big bucks to do it right. No grandchildren here to assist.

I refuse to update to win 10 . I already have two computers two Acers loaded with win 10 [not ordered from QVC]. I would never order any electronic from QVC they are older models and with software I would never use or want or need. A download to win10 from 8.1 a nightmare. I will just keep the 3rd computer the way it is with win 8.1 and use it off line. I have taken the annoying pop up to install windows 10 this way I just changed my settings to be notified before windows puts updates on this computer. I have not seen the pop up in a long time.

I know what you mean. DH could make a lot of money if he charged for his services. He has to get on the computer remote using Team Viewer so he can fix my dad's computer in another state. Lately he has not had time to do anything but work on computers. LOL!!! He has to help my sisters, dad, his mom, sisters & people he works with plus our own computers. 3 of those he has to do remote since they live in other states.
