Windows 10 and Google Drive Questions

Has anyone had problems with routine software updates or downloads since installing Windows 10?  How did you resolve it?

Regarding Google Drive, do you have to have the desktop app to sync files on your devices?

Re: Windows 10 and Google Drive Questions

thanks nutmeg3. Followed instructions to hide it.Would never have known how to do that so I appreciate your quick response. PS..not sure why every post I've typed today has a misspelling?? That's how crazy my computer has made me today. When I first tried to sign on this AM Windows wouldn't even open and I had to run a restore. Not sure what caused that.

Re: Windows 10 and Google Drive Questions

I have yet to find a way to PERMANENTLY make that Win10 thing go away.  You can go in to 'task manager' and stop it but the next time you start your computer again it's back.  Not only that, but if I'm on the same computer for several hours, without turning it off, it comes back anyway.

I know this isn't the worst thing ever, but it bugs me and I wish they would make it where you could just decline and it's gone.   Geez, one thing I'm not liking lately about newer OS is that they force stuff on you whether you want it on YOUR computer or not.

I'm  glad you asked this question.   I have Windows 7 and it works fine.  I get the popup for Windows 10 periodically (and it's really huge now).  I guess they thought I didn't notice it when it was a little box.  It says it's not just a trial version.  My question really is, should I update to Windows 10, or is that just asking for problems?

Am not at all good at most tech issues... My pc is running slow at times.   Norton who i use is really great at helping with issues... They take over my Pc and does the job...

Have been very satisfied with there service.....
