Windows 10 Update version 20H2

I started this newest Windows 10 update at 7:30am today. It finally downloaded and pended install when I restarted it. This took 6 hours to this point to restart. Then restarted it at 3:00 pm.
Now it is almost 6pm today and it is installing and still only at 22%. I will have to leave on all night to finish.

I was on the Windows 1903 version to update to new one. The 2004 always failed to update. I decided to do this new one and if it messing up my computer I am going to order a new MacBook Pro. I have messed with Windows enough. This is. 2017 HP 17" rose gold laptop and is as beautiful as clear to use.
Anyone else download the 20H2 update yet? I never do an update usually about 6 months after it comes out but I am sick of Windows always trying to run updates when it is starts even when they are paused until May 18th. I do the pause whenever I can but I have been looking at. A MacBook as I didn't care if this worked as I will buy a new one.

My brother in law runs a computer shop if needed but I usually can figure things myself.

Just frustrating.

@MKR14

I just checked, and it's ready for downloading on my laptop. I'm going to start it now to see what happens. I have a second computer to use just in case there are any issues. I'll be back to let you know how it goes.

Haven't installed this update yet, but it's ready.

I haven't had a slow update, but computer running so slowly afterwards it was unusable several times.  So slow, it took hours overnight to do a restore.

It's all downloaded and installed. I had to do a second restart after the first one. That happens sometimes, not sure why. But the process went smoothly. My laptop is 7 years old.

Re: Windows 10 Update version 20H2

@Caffeina @Thanks. Mine is finally at 91% and now taking longer again. As long as it works well after is all I want. If not I will donate it to my brother in law and have him fix it and give to someone that needs one for their at home job.

I will post back tomorrow. It should take less time if you already have a newer version than 1903.

Re: Windows 10 Update version 20H2

@Caffeina  Mine finally finished at 7:15 pm and seems to be running ok. It probably was because I had the 1903 version and there was 2 more before the newest one that it took so long. I made sure it was plugged in and on the Ethernet cable also was plugged in to the laptop.
I couldn't get 2004 version to install and it failed 4 different time over the last month.

I was happy as my Internet picked up without putting my password in too.
Thanks for the reply's from everyone.

My HP desktop is a little over a year old. It just finished updating with the latest version. It only took a few minutes. I'm always on the lookout for updates. I never wait for them to do it automatically. I just go an get it done.

Re: Windows 10 Update version 20H2

I think I will put the updates on my computer sooner now as long as there are not many negatives reviews posted.

Guess I will wait on my MacBook Pro for now. Going to check out any new features on this Windows 10 update today.

My computer tried 5 times before this to do the 2004 update but always failed so I wasn't sure if the new one would update.

I am glad I have a backlit keyboard as I couldn't even see the keys to type until I put it back on after the update.

Have a great day everyone. Every new day is a blessing.

Just a heads up, check out the issues people have with upgrading MacBooks. You'll find very many people have issues with their upgrades also. About the only computers you don't hear of upgrade issues with are the Chromebooks. And there are probably issues with them also, I just don't hear of them as much.
