What is My Computer Asking For?

Don't know what I'm doing! I went to change the administrative password on my desktop computer, and apparently I did something wrong. Now I am locked out of my own computer. {#emotions_dlg.sad} At present I am on DH's computer.

My computer is saying that I need to reset the password and that I should insert the password reset key disc. What's that???????????????? I don't have a back up disc that I hear people talking about.

Should I call Hewlett Packard, take it into a computer shop, or is there something simple to do to fix it? Thank you for any advice you can offer!
