Kindle is a little too complex for a grandma i think. Samsung galaxy 3 or ipad is easier. I have 7 inch kindle and it is a disappointment. I would go for a large size. 7 inches is too small for internet

Don't get a 7"" tablet. It will be too small for her to see or use.
