It is a very cool device. I use a Bluetooth keyboard with a iPad when I want to type fast.

People get used to things if they want to usually, but if they have their minds set against it they never will. My mother can't recharge her cell phone. Not because she is stupid, because she doesn't want to use it.

True, because it's not a laptop. But I type well and fast on the popup full keyboard. Little bit of a learning curve to type quickly but it wasn't that big a deal.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Before I got my iPad I was typing on the iPod Touch, so I am happy with the size of the iPad keyboard.

Ipad works with bluetooth keyboards. It's a total non issue. I have one for mine but I find the virtual keyboard works great.

You get use to it, like anything.

I often use voice input for quick things. Of course, it's not full-proof. Most of the time I use my iPad for surfing, watch media and reading from Kindle app. Great for short messages. I have a Bluetooth keyboard for longer emails and documents. For anything requiring more, I use my laptop.

it's not an iPad issue....it's ALL tablets - you need an optional accessory keyboard if you can't live with the on-screen touch keypad.... don't just knock iPads

When I first got my Ipad I also purchased a keyboard that you sync to the tablet. I used it a total of 2 times as it took me no time to adjust to the IPad's built in keyboard. Still have the keyboard in the box just collecting dust.
