We Found a Solution to Mac Book Pro Printing Problem.

A few days ago, hubby and I had a printing problem with our Apple devices.  He originally went to the Apple Store and all they did was clean up his Pro and send him home.  Didn't work.

We decided that maybe it was the router since we also were having problems keeping a signal on anything.  So, off my husband went to Comcast to buy a router.  He had to call Comast to get it working.  Still no printing.

Frustrated, my husband called Apple and spoke to a tech.  She asked him what the serial number was to his Pro.  With that, she was able to go into his computer and talk him through what he needed to do to correct it.  It worked!   I  asked him what he did and he said he couldn't exactly tell me. Yes, he's as computer negative as I am, lol.

The only problem now is...my Dell won't connect to the Internet!  It can't find the modem, it says.  So I'm gonna call Comcast to see if I can get further help.  This Dell is about 5 years old.  Maya it's obsolete?  My IPad picked up the new router automatically when I put in the name of the network.  Oh, Jesus!

If you switched routers, you need to reconnect all of your devices.

@glb613, you know what the Dell problem was?  It needed the new pass word to the new network name.  When my husband set the network name and pass word up, my iPads 'found' it on their own.  My Dell didn't.  I had to be put in by me.  All is well now.

That is part of reconnecting your devices.  When I bought a new router, I got into the settings (which is VERY EASY to do) and changed the default name and password to my old router's name and password.  By doing that, I didn't need to reconnect a single device.
