I watched  when the Bose Wave was the TSV.  I have a old Bose and when Brett said we could get the Wave Cast RX and it would turn the system into a Bluetooth I ordered it!  Welllllll, we can't get it to work!  Can a Bose be too old? If not how do you get the wave to work??

@lovetosew

I read somewhere it will not work on a older Bose radio.

The Wave Cast RX is simply a Bluetooth receiver that should work with any device with a matching input. Now, I don't have the Wave Cast RX, but in general, when you plug the device in initially or turn it on, there will be a flashing LED (typically blue in my experience.) That indicates the device is ready to be paired. Then you need to be sure you have Bluetooth enabled on the phone or tablet you're casting your audio from. On an Android phone you can check this by swiping down from the top of the screen to be sure the bluetooth emblem is lit. Then go to settings on your phone or tablet and look for "Connected Devices." If the Wave Cast is listed, simply tap it on the screen to be sure it's selected. If it's not listed tap "Pair new device." The Wave Cast and phone/tablet should find one another and connect. Then simply make sure you have the Wave Cast plugged into the Aux input on your Bose and that input is selected. Find whatever music/audio you want to play on your phone and hit play and you should hear it from the Bose. The age of the Bose shouldn't matter as long as it has the right audio input. If you don't hear anything, max out the volume on your phone/tablet and then raise the volume on your Bose. As long as your radio (it doesn'thave to be a Bose) has an audio input, you should be able to use the Wave Cast on it. If the Aux input isn't the 3.5 mm but is instead a red and white plug, you can buy an adapter and still be able to use it.

Please call Bose. You can find a tech support number on the company.

JMO, I would send this add on device back to QVC.

You may want to  look for a Bluetooth speaker or soundbar depending on the application.

I like starting my search at Crutchfields.com. They sell products from many manufacturers including Bose.

There are many quality products on the market.

Amazon may have an Echo.
