Similar to what happened to me last year and I fell for it. Afterwards I took my laptop to Best Buy and geek squad for their guidance. Do not call that number.

I received the same call. I had a whistle by the phone, and blasted it into the phone. There will be one less scammer, because this person will now be deaf.

thats what i figured.i called that number to see if someone answered and i just hung up.i can image how many people panick and end up giving them their credit card and sign up for a lot of money for nothing.

I have received those calls numerous times. I use call
blocker, they just change one digit and keep calling.
Do not speak to them, just hang up.
Unfortunately new technology brings out new scams.

We recieved two similar calls last year. The man had a foreign accent. His story was similar. First time I hung up. Second time I told him we didn't have a computer. He hung up. Never called again.

They're always going to be scams. No one from Windows or Microsoft is going to call you for any reason. Sometimes I like to mess with these scammers - I'll tell them I don't have a computer, don't have Windows, etc. Or I'll go along with them saying what should I do - should I give them my credit card. Then tell 'em off. And sometimes I just hang up.

Microsoft does not call you period... I am too clever to fall for these call scams and every other scam that comes my way. Wake up people!!! Go on Microsoft. com and educate yourselves.![]()

Why waste your breath "messing with them"?... Just let the phone ring without the voice mail option that is how I got rid them. If they know you will pick up the phone and speak with them they will call you again.![]()
