Are all new computers today all touch screen?  I would prefer to be able to use a mouse.

@Big SisterYou do not have to use the touch screen. It works as a regular laptop too (keyboard). You can use a mouse with a touchscreen laptop. Just buy one and plug the little receiver into one of the USB ports. I always use a mouse.

That laptop at Walmart is a great deal! Although the one thing that has always held me back from electronis at Walmart was their return polcy was only 14 days. Have they changed their policy? (not their Christmas policy, all stores extend for the holidays, but their every day return for electronics)

Wanted to add, I called QVC today to find out if they are having their annual "Christmas computer", and the rep told me she had "tech item TSV" listed for November 19 and for December 3.

She said they no longer tell them what "tech item" is for the TSV until a couple days before the date, but as we looked at the calendar, she thought the Christmas computer might be November 19, since that is the day before Cyber Monday and it made sense the Q would want to draw in consumers looking for computers for gifts.

She was very nice, but could only give me Nov 19 and Dec 3. One of those two dates might be a laptop.

I have a dear friend who absolutely cannot buy a computer without easy pay, so I have been on the watch for her. Easy pay is definitely a need for some people.

@gabstoomuch The site I was on a few days ago said 90 return policy on computers but the one I was on today said for Christmas returns it will be 15-30 days. I don't know why the difference in 15-30 days. I may call our local Walmart and see what it is. I know when I worked there years ago if you brought back a defective computer they would replace it or give you the money back but would try it to be sure it was defective first. It depends on your return history of electronics at the stores as they do keep track of customers returns in their system. I worked the Return Desk and you would not believe the stories I could tell you. Unbelievable what people will do. Sorry about the return policy difference. I would know within. 15 days if I wanted to keep it and would have the Square Trade as a backup on it if Walmart didn't exchange it.

There is absolutely no valid reason for a person to need easy pay for an inferior item at a higher price.  If you can make a payment every month, you can save the same amount of money until you have enough cash to buy a computer outright.

I always buy our computers from  HP store and never had a problem. I would never buy any electronic from a Walmart.
