Update on TP Link AC2600 Router

[ Edited ]

This router is amazing. I just set it up and it was super easy.

My download speed on my old router was 92.1. This is now 354 ! It is so fast and my iPads stopped saying Weak Signal.

It wasn't the iPad problem it was the router.
This router has 2GHz and 5GHz and you can switch back and forth to what you need. Did the firmware update with no problem. I
also used my old router network name and password so everything was already on my internet as always. It picked it right up on the 2ghz and 5ghz network. I left the 2GHz my network name and just added 5GHz to the second network name.

You go to the TP-Linkwifi.net site and it picks up your IP address for you.
You first sign in with the routers network name and password and and you change to what you want.

I have an Envy HP E-114 printer that I bought in 2011 and it still works fine with my laptop with this router.

I get really nervous when I change out electronics sometimes but no need with this.
I bought my router on Amazon and it is on sale right now for $99.98 with free shipping.

When we had service with AT&T we had issues with their equipment. When we switched to cable company we bought another one. We don't have any problems with ours.

We have a Netgear Nighthawk. I'm not sure which model without pulling it out & looking at it.

Great Job. Enjoy your new device. When you are able replace your printer. Look around for a small sale. You may or may not find one.

Router prices or any price can vary from day to day on Amazon.

I like the way you have given your two networks different SSID names. Some devices can  get confused when connecting.

Re: Update on TP Link AC2600 Router

@Nuttmeg  Thanks for the feedback. I have been looking for a new printer as soon as the one I have now is out of ink. I have a black cartridge and 2 color XL cartridges left. Everyone I found that I liked and had good reviews were sold out. I do love the HP printers and I only want the black and the tri color cartridges and not several individual colors to replace. The HP Envy printer I have now has never failed me. There will be new ones out this year for sure and by then I will have a better check.

At 71 years old I think I will be good for not having to ever replace my new router. My daughter and my neighbor just ordered the TP Link router I got as they loved the speed and easy set-up. We all have Spectrum and modem. I may replace the modem with my own. My daughter did a few years ago and has never had a problem. One step at a time. Smiley Happy

Ten minutes after I ordered my router I went back on Amazon and it had gone down $10.00. I spoke to an Amazon rep and she said that don't adjust the price after the sale. Not a problem as it was a great price for what I paid for it to begin with.

Good for you, be proud!!!!

Years ago I was exactly cheap enough to buy my own when I saw what Comcast charged to rent.
