Typing question

I have a feeling this question is really dumb, but I don't know why this keeps happening. Whenever I am typing, whether it's email or in these forums, out of the blue the letters will jump up to another line and insert themselves in another word. I'll have to find them, back them out, go back to the line I am on and try again. Help!
