Trying to decide on tablet...

I am thinking about the Kindle Fire 8.9 because I want a tablet that can also be my Kindle e-reader. If I go for the Apple IPAD Air will I be able to read books from Amazon on it??

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks
