Thanks jordan2 for posting about HSN having the LG Dynamic for $99, which I promptly ordered. I purchased the Samsung Galaxy from QVC back in May when it was the special. I have hated it from Day One. The way everything is set up is awful. Half the time I couldn't answer an incoming call. And then there is the time problem. Practically every day I have to reset the time. I have had the LGs in the past I really liked them, so I hope everything works out with this one.

After looking for months for the best "no-contract" cell phone, we settled on the Tracfone because their unused minutes ROLL OVER! We have been elated by the ease of use of the phone as well. We got the one that looks & handles similar to the iPhone, but they have many styles to choose from.

We are very happy with the purchase & it was the only non-contract that allowed the roll over minutes & the price was affordable.

I got my phone and was able to set it up, not very hard at all. I now have to read up on how to use it!

I buy a new Tracfone every year when someone has a "deal" on them. I put the minutes on my old LG840g, and ditch the new phone. It's too much trouble switching all my contacts over and the old phone works perfectly so why change? I use my phone for about $7/mo.

Could you tell me how exactly you do that? My grandma has the Big Easy Tracfone (the one with the larger buttons). I bought it last year for her from HSN and set it up. Her year just came due so I bought the same thing (it was on sale for 40 dollars, 1 year of service and 400 minutes), and I switched everything over from the old Tracfone to the new Tracfone. I would love to be able to just add minutes and time to her existing phone like you did.

By the way, if you ever decide you'd like a new phone, you can use Bluetooth to send your contacts over from your old phone to your new phone. It's pretty simple.

I got mine Saturday and played around with the apps and internet by using wi-fi. I also worked with the online tutorial and read the questions section of this phone offering on Amazon...very helpful! Activated it today...was on the phone with CS rep for 10 minutes. Once we got off the phone, it activated in 13 minutes. The only snafu I had was in using bluetooth to transfer my contacts from my LG840G. I've transferred contacts before, but I guess I forgot how. I finally found out how to do it on Howard Mobile Forums.

I'd like to know, too. I'm assuming you would just get the pin for the promotional minutes and then add it to your current phone via CS or online?

You don't activate the new phone...forget it exists. Go through the activation procedure and put the minutes on the old phone. Takes about 2 minutes, just follow the prompts online.

I bought a tracphone about a year ago from QVC, triple the minutes when you buy extra minutes. Kept my Iphone and use it for all my apps. as long as you have wifi you can use your iphone. Tracphone is only used for calls!. I am saving $80 a month. Cost of phone was originally $100 I think, I have bought minutes for a total cost of $100 in one year. Can't beat that. Only draw back in carrying two phones! I also don't do much talking on the phone.

Perhaps their service has improved as my experience was almost two years ago, but it was a nightmare I'll never forget. I could not make or receive calls from my apartment. I would have not been disappointed if I lived in some remote rural area, but no... I live in downtown Chicago.

I can't recommend it, but as I said in my first sentence, perhaps their service has improved.
