@Venezia , OK I will give it a try then.

From what you're saying I gather I don't need the red "Sart here " card . ?

I can't remeber the last time I bought a phone anywhere else . LOL

@aqua3 - Yes, you need the red card but it's inside the white box that your new phone is in.  Open the box and you'll find the phone, the red card underneath it, along with a small leaflet telling you how to install the SIM card (that's in the blue packet stuck on the outside of the box), the charging cable, etc.

It's all in the white box that I mentioned.

Hint:  When you install the SIM card, make sure you do it over a surface (desk, table, whatever) as the little pop-out that holds the card can fall, if you're not expecting it.

ETA:  Tracfone also has a tutorial for each phone it sells.  Find them under "Help and Support", then "Smartphones" and look for the Moto Edge 2025.

Good morning @Venezia ,

I was away yesterday, just read your message.

I finally opened the box, no red card under the phone. However, I found it in the blue pouch.

You weren't kidding about the Sim card ,it is TINY!

Wish me luck in getting this new phone activated and everything transferred over from my current one...

Thank  you so much for your help and patience !!!  Cat Happy

@aqua3 - I'm so glad you found everything.  I did think afterwards that it was more likely in the blue pouch as the two things go together.

Good luck with your new phone.  I hope you love it as much as I love mine.  Smiley Happy

@aqua3 . I am thinking about buying the Moto Edge. Can you tell me if you were able to activate it and how you like it?

Regarding Tracfone, Do they all automatically renew after one year and charge your credit card each month?  I want one that will not automatically renew.

@007sppr No, they do not automatically renew unless you are on a monthly plan. If you are out of minutes or service time, your phone will quit working and you would then renew. Renew before your time or minutes are up to avoid cancellation. I wait until near the time of renewal and just get a new phone if there is a TSV.

I know that texts, minutes, and data transfer over to a new Tracfone but does anyone know if the service date also transfers over?  Mine expires in August 2027 and my phone will be over 2 years old by then.  (If I buy this HSN TS would wait to use it, maybe).

@bargainsgirl - Yes, any remaining days of service you currently have will transfer to your new phone.  (So the year included in a new phone will extend your service date to August 2028.)

@pprmntstx   When I ordered the Tracphone for my husband last year, (from QVC)  I made a note on the calendar when it was time to renew....so, yes, you do have to renew, and there are several plans to choose from.

He rarely uses his phone so we are only paying about $11.00 month.

I did see this morning my credit card was charge $16.75 for his monthly bill…I need to call and see why the increase.  I do recall a $5.00 credit he was able to receive, maybe it ran out.  Regardless I need to speak to them about the issue with his incoming calls.
