@SilleeMee  I prefer a flip phone which I've always had--never had a smartphone.  My #1 criteria is I don't want any sort of "plan."  I just want a phone that has a certain amount of minutes available on it and be done with it.  I'm not very tech savvy--LOL!!--so this is very confusing to me.

Yes, me too!

I got my flip phone from Tracfone several years ago. Once a year I buy their 1-year service plan for $50 which I add to their $10-worth of minutes option. Since I hardly ever use the phone, my minutes have accumulated over the years. That $50 1-year service plan + $10 of minutes comes out to cost me around $65 w/tax for an entire year of phone service. I don't think you can find a better deal. Woman Happy

@SilleeMee   That's what I want!! Did you get the phone directly from the Tracfone website?  Any other info you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.  Thanks!

Yes, I bought their Alcatel MyFlip, add your service plan and minutes to that.

I believe this phone is being sold as 'reconditioned' for $5! it's the only Alcatel brand they have right now. They also have TCL and Nokia.

@kaydee50

My Alcatel was also reconditioned but I paid $10 for it back then. It's really a brand new phone and I'm not sure why they call it 'reconditioned'.

You're welcome and I'm glad I could help.
