I seldom use my phone either, but my experience with Trac Phone has been horrible, worst CS ever, I would stay far away from them. I use Consumer Cellular.

@kaydee50 - DH and I have had nothing but Tracfones for the past 24 years. We like them and haven't had any issues. Like you, we wanted no-contract phones. We mostly use them for calls and texts and you can add minutes easily on the Tracfone website.
Our current phones are Moto G Stylus 5G, which have more storage than the one you're looking at. But if you're a casual user, you should be fine with the Moto G Play. You can always add an SD card for more storage, if needed.
I'd suggest watching the presentations on HSN before you decide. They're usually very good at explaining the features.

DH and I both have Tracfones and have for years. We like ours very much. Never had a problem with CS. We don't want a monthly plan either.
That has been our experience.

@tends2dogs @Venezia @Shelbelle
Thank you all for your quick replies. I will watch the presentation as suggested.
As for Consumer Cellular I had them years ago. They automatically switched me to a different plan which I did not like so I dropped them.
I had AT&T Go Phone until recently when I had a problem with them!!! So I want a "no contract" phone. I actually would like a "burner" phone but they don't seem to be available any more.

@kaydee50 Where have you looked? In my neck of the woods, you can purchase them anywhere offline from "pookie" on the corner, local grocery & drug store(s) & all electronic retail stores.
Online all electronic retail as well as Amazon & eBay.

If you don't use a cell phone very often then why not get a flip phone instead of a smart phone. Save yourself the hassle of smart phone.

Go to Tracfonereviewer.blogspot. com. Over to the right is the search bar where you can search any phone. He will tell you everything you need to know about it.

Thanks!! Looks like a lot of good info there.

@SilleeMee I prefer a flip phone which I've always had--never had a smartphone. My #1 criteria is I don't want any sort of "plan." I just want a phone that has a certain amount of minutes available on it and be done with it. I'm not very tech savvy--LOL!!--so this is very confusing to me.
