I'm looking for ways to save money and switching to a Tracfone will save me $750.00 a year!!!  I see a Big Deal on Dec 13th so I'm in investigation mode now!

Do you have/use a Tracfone?

Do you have a Samsung or LG?

Pro's vs Con's.

Thank you in advance for your responses.  I posted in Community Chat also

DH & I have had LG Tracfones for over 10 years and have had no problems with them whatsoever!

We have upgraded to a newer model a couple of times, but not because we had any problems with the ones we had, but the newer model had added features.

I can't speak of Samsung, since we were so happy with LGs that we stuck with them.

I have a Tracfone, started with a Samsung phone but switched to LG about three years ago. I'm really happy with my service.

I never had any problems when I ported my phone number. The process took about 15 minutes.

You can find the (Tracfone Reviewer's Blog) with a Google search. The site will give you information about service, data, and time.

Tracfone has their own Blog and forums online.

Please understand the process of porting your current phone number to  a Tracfone.

I am a longtime Tracfone customer. Have always had Samsung and been pleased with the phone and the service.  Have had to upgrade periodically.....

My friends have the more expensive fancier phones with different carriers and when we travel outside of the city my Tracfone seems to be the only phone that can still get service....

Currently 2g & 3g networks will be discontinued by the Summer of 2020 and some OLDER Tracfones will no longer work.  Here's a list of the Tracfones that will be compatible with the new network:

List of VoLTE Capable Phones from Tracfone

The phones listed below are compatible with VoLTE according to Tracfone. This list may not be complete

  • Samsung Galaxy S7
  • Samsung Galaxy J7 Crown
  • Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit
  • Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky Pro
  • Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro
  • Motorola Moto G6
  • Motorola Moto E5
  • LG Fiesta 2
  • LG Stylo 4
  • LG Stylo 3
  • LG Premier Pro
  • LG Rebel 4
  • LG Rebel 3
  • LG Rebel 2
  • Alcatel TCL LX
  • Alcatel TCL A1
  • Alcatel MyFlip
  • ZTE Blade T2
  • ZTE ZFIVE C
  • ZTE Z233
  • iPhone 6 or newer

I always buy more minutes or data from the website....Or you can purchase cards at Target, convenience and grocery stores to add more time, data, or text that way too....very easy to do!

SPURT..thank you very much for compiling the list of phones that going forward will be compatible with this network thingy happening in 2020. Was debating what to do about the phone I currently have with Tracfone, whether to add service time to keep it active or get a new phone altogether. But your list answered my question, currently use a Galaxy J3 Luna Pro so I should be good to go for 2020 when buying my service time, talk, data and text. (Like you I always purchase through their website and never had any problems) However, QVC and HSN are both running good deals on Tracfone Samsung Galaxy phones right now that make it tempting to get a new one.

is 4G, so should be on that list.

I have a Tracfone. But it's an el cheapo flip phone I only use for emergencies...$50 a year for service and add minutes as needed...dirt cheap.
