Re: Tracfone switched like a charm!

@Mothertrucker

.My wife bought that Moto several months back. She has a Galaxy S7 with a No Contract with Sprint. Why she needs 2 phones? Not touching that  what she does is her business. I do know when she was using Boost with her Galaxy S6, she couldn't even make calls from our home. She had to drive about 6 blocks to get a signal.

Anyways, she has nothing but good things to say about her Moto, so that is always a good thing. Patience is not one of her strong points, just the opposite with me. She also said transferring over from her old Tracfone was very easy. She was using her Moto in less than half hour.

After reading your post, I think that just might be why my wife bought her Moto. Not long ago she left her Galaxy S7 on the hood of our SUV. Took off up the highway(60mph) and saw something fly off. It then dawned on her what it was. She was maybe 5 blocks up the highway by then.

She found her phone lying on the bike path along the shoulder. She had bought a rubberized cover, and fortunately there was just a slight dent in that cover and the phone doesn't have an issue. She told me she went right onto Amazon to leave a 5 star review on that cover.

Re: Tracfone switched like a charm!

@hckynut  I don't mean to show disrespect, but the thought of that cell phone flying off the car made me laugh out loud.

Different subject (but still about things flying from cars).  I was just reminiscing with my girls and my best friend about all of the times at the beach her husband put things (on purpose) on the top of their car and didn't secure them.

It's unbelievable all of the various items (i.e. luggage on bridge coming from Nags Head NC, inner tubes, prescription glasses set up there, and on and on!

We can laugh at that now, but back then...it was the prescription glasses that .......(well just say a few 'naughty' words were spoken by all....as we navigated the ditch looking for those glasses).

I'm glad she found her phone.  Even in my house, I'll the cell phone in a back room and totally forget about it.

I have a relatively young family.  They don't use the house phone but they'll TEXT me to death.  That thing beeps constantly!

Meanwhile, I'm in another end of the house in total bliss (shuuuussshhh be quiet) not listening to it.  HA!

But..now that i'm closer to turning 79  and sometimes..ok i? have balance problems  /or back spasms/pain.....i need to change my habits...

like taking a walking cane w/me if needed..

and a '"cell phone..".!!! regardless if i'm by myself walking..or with someone else!

@cowboy sam

I didn't realize I even had balance issues until I decided to try ice skating again at 78. A skater much of my life, but life/death health issues kept me off skates from 2002-2016. I found out I could not even stand up and my 3rd time out, fell and fractured an upper right rib.

Decided I needed Balance Physical Therapy and went for 12 weeks. I also started doing daily 30-45 minutes of balance exercises at home. After 4 months I decided to give skating another go, as that was my main purpose of going to that particular type of PT.

It was slow going, along with many more falls, but the falls were more controllable, because that is where balance on ice skates also is advantageous. Took me the best part of 2-3 months to feel really comfortable skating again, but now my skating is as it was prior to my 14 year sabbatical from it.

Without going to Balance PT, I seriously doubt I would now be skating. I also know that my overall balance is 100% better standing or walking, and I will be 80 in less than 2 weeks. Mention this only as something you might consider to maybe help with your balance.

Hey!! Happy Walking, and be careful.

Thanks for your advice  .Smiley Wink.i'll think at about pt..

and get back sticking with my balance exercises!!

We used to think that when we fell it could break bones,

now it has been proven...bones suddenly break on their own..and causes us to fall... down!

Happy Early 80th Birthday!Smiley Wink
